Nat West Bank v St.
James CC
26h May 2007
.
St James CC DNB Nat West Bank 191 -6
Rained off
Nat West won the toss
and decided to bat as usual. They had not forseen the
strength of the St James attack or the dodgy bounce on offer. Nabeel and Robin
took a wicket
each and had the Nat West batsmen struggling to get the ball off the square.
The good work continued as Aamir and Dave Owen both
shook off the
rust to bowl great
spells.
Nat West consolidated
slowly and Simon finally made a couple of breakthroughs. More good bowling
followed from Mohsin and Ali but the experienced Nat
West
batting order
pushed their score along at the end of the innings. By now the dark clouds had
turned to rain and the St James reply was cut short
after only a few overs. A great pity as Ousman had
just unreeled some crisp offside shots.
