St James were put in on a good batting surface if a little wet.Darren looked
steady in his unusual role but it took a slow 54 from Andrew and a strong 70
from Jon to set a total as a batting collapse occurred just when we needed 20
more runs before tea
Tea was taken early at 4.40pm and early catches dropped off the openers
allowed them to post a good start
A lack of penetration allowed the score to build and St James lost with 8
overs to go
An enjoyable evening followed as ever with some sociable opponents
